Ride to Vagdevi Vilas College, Halasahalli
Visited Vagdevi Vilas College today which is located at Halasahalli near Varthur in the outskirts of Bangalore. As one go past Varthur police station road starts narrow and as one go further it becomes narrower and opens up with wooded or cultivated or open fields. Such beauty was available on almost every direction one could go from Bangalore earlier but that is disappearing slowly. Earlier if one traveled further from Meenakshi temple on Bannerghatta road, it was oasis of greenery. Same was on Kanakpura road. But to see real greenery now one has to travel much further from the city now. While I cherish the view I saw while on my to ride to Halasahalli but I am not sure how long it will be there.
The Vagdevi Vilas college campus is also quite nature conscious and has many plantation including fruit trees. Saw an area under white Jamun plantation and there were some plants of starfruit as well.
