Jaganmohana Palace: Jaganmohan Palace is an Art Gallery famous for various collection from the Mysore kingdom era. It was built during the reign of Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in 1861 on the occasion of his daughter’s marriage as the main place was destroyed in fire. The museum was started in 1915. In 1955 it was named as aganmohn Palace Art Gallery after Mysore king sri Jayachamrajendra Wodeyar.

St.Philomena’s Church: St.Philomena’s Church is a Roman Catholic Church, designed by a French architect and built in AD 1840. The church is 175 feet in height, and was initially known as St. Joseph Chaver. It is said to resemble the St. Patrick’s cathedral at New York and a church at Cologne. The then king of Mysore Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV laid the foundation for construction of the church in 1933. It has been designed by a French Architect. The church has components like glass etc made or imported from France, Greece etc.

T. Narasipur: The “T” in the name stands for Tirumakudalu in kannada, Trimakuta in Sanskrit – it means a triangular confluence of rivers. It is here three rivers Kaveri, Kabini and Spatika Sarovar ( a hidden mythical lake) meets. In Skanda Purana, this place is mentioned as one of the Trimakuta Kshetras. The Kumbhamela of South India takes place here every three years. Narasipur got its name from the famous Gunja Narasimhaswamy temple that is located on the right bank of the Kabini river. The temple has been built during the Vijaynagar empire period. There few other temples in Narasipur which you may take a look at like Agasthyeshwara temple, Bhiksheswara temple, the Moolasthaneshwara temple and the Anandeswara temple. T. Narasipura is located around 130 km from Bangalore.
