Mysore Airport is Open to Public Now
Mysore airport was inaugurated by Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyrappa on 15th May 2010. With this the tourism and cultural capital of karnataka is on the air map of India. Now onwards tourist can fly directly from destination like Mumbai and Chennai soon.
This is just the first phase and it should be able to handle ATR 72 aircrafts. However, it may still take some time for large aircrafts like Boeing 747 and night landings and take off.
Mysore airport earlier already handles many chartered flights, has a terminal building and two runways.
