Visit to Club Cabana Resort, Bangalore

Club Cabana is one of the popular resorts in Bangalore. Recently, I visited there as part of our team outing. It was my first visit there. From MG road it should be around 30 km.

How to reach there: Bangalore – Devanahalli New Airport road – Sadahalli junction (Take left) – drive straight until you see Jade Garden – Club Cabana is opposite Jade Garden

Day outing cost: Around Rs 1000.

A day outing allows you welcome drink, breakfast, lunch and use of all game facilities till 5.30 pm.

The climate was very good that day. I enjoyed my ride from Bangalore city through outer ring road and it was windy through out. On the flyovers it was difficult to maintain the bike with sudden gush of heavy wind coming in. I reached Club Cabana little past 12 noon. At the entrance to the main area I was given a wrist band to show valid entry. Once I went through the reception and a little sitting area, I was came to see the blue wave pool. Besides the pool there is sitting arrangement where one can have some drink before plunging into the pool.

After playing a lot in the pool, we went to the water slides area on the left hand side of the pool. The blue slide is with tube and the green slide is without tube. The green slide is awesome and gives a high adrenaline rush. Then there is a yellow slide which is a two step vertical slide. On the other end there is a warm jacuzzi where gushing water gives pressure treatment when you sit there.

On the right hand side is the Lazy river. Where we board on a tube and floated as the water flowed. But the water flow is too slow. Little faster flow would have been more fun. Over all we had fun. But food is a major downside. Only one item of chicken (curry), fish fry. No special delicacies either. Also, among games its only the water games that are worth. Others like dart and Archery looks like kind of kiddo. Bowling alley is in bad shape. Drinks are costly too.

One thing which I hated was they charging Rs 200 deposit for a locker. That was way too much. Also, if the key is lost the deposit is gone. I understand the lock has to be broken so they need to recover the cost of the lock. Is the cost of that small lock Rs 200? I found a lot of negative feedback on Club Cabana on Mouthshut.com and Burrp. But some good reviews as well on Trip Advisor. I will give it a overall good ratings but food is bad.
