Silchar to Kumbhirgram Airport Road Trip
Silchar to kumbhirgram Airport Road Trip is a nice drive. Earlier when the road was not that good, even then this was a good area to go around. Now the road infrastructure has improved and work is on a full swing to make it a nice two lane highway. Sadarghat bride has also been made one way with separate carriageways. The video starts from Park road ( around Gandhi bagh) and goes through Devdoot – Sadarghat – Rongpur – Udharbond and then finally winding through beautiful tea estates on both side of road to Kumbhirgram airport.
Kumbhirgram airport is located around 27 km from Silchar city. Earlier there was no public transport. But now government buses ply from ISBT and Rangerkhari to Kumbhirgram airport. Cars are available on hire to ferry people to and from the airport. Small cars (hatchback) are available for hire for Rs 800 and sedans for around Rs 1000 – 1200. I saw good development on this road. Nearby undharbond there is the famous Kachakanti temple, Salganga and Khaspur Rajbari of the Dimasa kings. You can watch my videos as follows:
