Incredible India Digital Calendar

Recently the Ministry of Tourism of India launched the Incredible India Digital Calendar. It was a first by the ministry and a good way to keep up with times. It should also help promote tourism in India. Along with the digital calendar wall & desk calendar were also released.

The digital calendar is available as mobile app on Android and iOS. Lets see how it works. Android users can download it from Google Play and install it.

The Incredible India Digital Calendar acts as a calendar of travel events in India and as well as travel planner. It allows you to add your own events. The pictures in the calendar were captured post sunset and were used to showcase India at night. After you install the app you will be redirected to the following screen:

You can go through the slide to learn how it works. Each day in the calendar appears with a picture of Incredible India along with events if any scheduled on that day.

You can view the events in terms of day, week or month wise. Also, you can search for events.

Add events to your calendar.

The settings options allows you to choose on notifications, vibration for intimation. However, the contact us and rate us option seems to be not working. This is an app showcasing India, the Tourism ministry should should be more vigil to release a bug free product. Also, if it stopped working after release, they should keep a tab on the product to do the necessary maintenance.

It is welcomed to lunch such product to promote Indian tourism and the product is decent. The Tourism ministry should have follow-up mechanism on Incredible India Calendar and probably may provide enhancements in future.
