Pottery town is a small settlement in the Benson town area of Bangalore. As the name signifies, the inhabitants here are involved in the profession of pottery. During the British era, the then government settled these people here. The potters here are original native of Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu who migrated around 150 years ago. One can see various pottery works here starting from clay idol making to various kinds of pot making. The landmark would be Pottery town government high school. The settlement is located just behind the school. One need to take the right lane beside the school and then 1st right again.
This place is also a photographers delight. One can capture various portraits, moods and shades. Below are some of the pictures I took that day.
