For long time I was planning to visit a resort. Do not remember exactly when the last time visited a resort. Was missing the games and in particular the swimming pool. After deliberating over for last few weekends with one of my fren, we locked it for this Sunday – that is today. The selection of the resort did not take much time and I locked on Ramee Guestline on Hosur road. The selection criteria was to have decent happening resort where my friend should be comfortable in using the swimming pool. I have visited Ramee Guestline before back in 2006. What I noticed is most of the people who visits are from the corporate world, foreign tourists, students and decent families.

We were late in reaching Guestline, coz by the time we were billing for the day outing package it was 2 pm. Ideally, one should be there by 11 pm. This way you can enjoy various sports like tennis, badmintion, billiards etc. Then spend good enough time in the swimming pool before going for buffet lunch. Buffet lunch I was told is available till 3.30 pm at the maximum. Please check the timmings with the manager there. It typically takes around 1.5 hours or more to reach Guestline from Majestic. It uses the route the route Majestic  – Corporation – Wilson garden – Forum mall – Madivala market and the normal route mentioned above. After the billing, we quickly deceided to use the pool first, followed by  lunch and then play some sports. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool but disappointed that I was out of the water soon.

The resort was little crowded as it was Sunday and there was a birthday as well. The resort is well maintained and this time I saw a few changes like a new tree at the other end of the playground. By the way, if you do not bring your swimming costume dont worry, you can buy it here. But it looks little costly. So better bring it and have fun. To keep your belongings you can use a locker. To do so you will have to deposit a refundable amount of Rs 100. You will be refunded Rs 100 when you will return the key. Btw, towels are provided free of cost.

After bath, we sat for lunch. At the first sight it looked like almost everything is over. However, later they filled up the stuffs. I mainly had mutton biriyani, Goan fish curry, kalmi kabab, chole bhature, mysore pak, gulab jamun etc. Food was ok, not that great. The size of Gulab jamun was almost like the egg of some bird. Here, is what funny happened I asked for 2 glass of pepsi which were not cold and hardly has any zing in it. After the I forgot and went outside and since they do not ask, I thought may be part of the package. When I was sitting near the swimming pool one guy came and told 2 glass of pepsi bill is yet to be paid and it is Rs 80. Did you heard that? yes 80 rupess for two glass of pepsi. For this price you can get almost 4 bottles of 500ml pepsi outside.

Now we went around the place, first sittng on the grass worn ground at the playing ground, then went to the chess, Ludo section and clicked a few pictures. In the evening you will be provided Tea/Coffee and snacks as part of the package. Before leaving we played Billiards for sometime (Rs 100 for 1/2 hour). Paid pepsi bill while leaving and exited slowly out of Ramee Guestline. Walked slowly on the service road enjoying the setting of the Sun. Nearby (hardly 100 metres ) is the BMTC bus stand. We boarded a Suvarna bus. A short but good outing.
