Kerela Historical Museum

After entering the premises we first saw the statue of Madhavan Nayar. The museum is aesthetically built and nicely complemented by greenery. There were a lot of nice flowering plans as well. In front of the building of museum of Kerala history there is a statue of sage Parsuram. Local mythology says Parsuram created the coastal areas of Kerala and Karnataka. Then we saw some stone creations including marble stones which were kept outside. It has a art gallery, museum shop and dolls museum. In the gallery halls no photography is allowed. First we went to the dolls museum. Here miniature dolls of husband and wife from different regions were kept. In the art gallery, we mainly saw modern art paintings and creations. Some of the creations in stone and other metals were really nice. But in paintings we found only Raja Ravi verma from Kerala. Apart from his, most of the paintings were from outside.

It has a library with nice collection. They also provide rental facility for exhibition, performances and conference.
